Outreach
A central purpose of UES is to serve as a resource for California’s schools by disseminating what we learn from our ongoing research.
Through our institutes, conferences, consultations and publications, UES teachers and administrators provide a model of effective education. Learning about and observing the activities of this “living laboratory” help visitors see how theory and practice can be combined to create effective approaches to teaching. Each year UES hosts many educators who come to observe and learn about our innovative programs.
Our experienced faculty also are in high demand as in-service staff developers, consultants and teacher trainers. They provide workshops, courses and consultation in a wide range of areas, including technology, safe schools, visual and language arts, social studies, science and early childhood education.
